Stealth’s vanishing loudspeakers

Stealth Acoustics has developed a range of invisible loudspeakers.

The company’s model 228 is a flat panel, in-wall loudspeaker, designed to mount to industry standard 16in wall stud framing during construction, fit into a standard 2 x 4 wood or metal framed wall depth and be treated like a piece of sheetrock. It can also be fitted to the ceiling.

The joint between speaker panel and wall is filled and taped and then both are textured, painted or wallpapered to create a seamless finish. For rooms with a wood finish, the 228 is available with an unfinished veneer surface of just about any species you can think of. This can then be finished to match the final wood trim of the room.

The new range is claimed to be an ideal solution for whole house audio, surround sound, paging, masking, foreground music, boardroom audio and any other application requiring a full-range loudspeaker with wide dispersion.
